Key Metrics & Highlights of the Month
Overall, here’s our numbers for the month.
All the amazing work and effort from the Superteam community culminated into 2 major events this month, which were the Grizzlython hackathons submissions and Hacker House HCM.
After months of workshops, build stations and over 20 Universities on Uni tour, the broader Vietnam Solana community generated over 73 submissions to Grizzlython (which was 5x more than the 14 submissions to the last hackathon). We had teams working around the clock and fine tuning their presentations and code up to the last minute. So, good luck to all you builders.
At the same time, Superteam Vietnam helped plan and execute Hacker House HCMC, which was a smash success for Solana in Vietnam. Hacker House over 800 attendees people showing up with an average of 300 visitors per day for 5 days straight to the beautiful Gem Center. Not only did we see people coming from all over the world to HCM to share, learn and build with each other, many web2 businesses and financial institutions in Vietnam were introduced to Solana for the very first time. Through the various business dinners, networking sessions, we were able to kick start some very promising conversations that will hopefully lead to further integration of Solana projects into the Vietnam business ecosystem. Finally, the VC Pitch Day on day 5 was a tremendous success and has most of the web3 community still buzzing. Over 25 projects got to have 1:1 meetings with major international and local VCs to pitch their project and receive constructive feedback. Good luck to all of those teams and we’re hoping to see some checks written in the next few months.

We have a fierce competition with Solana Challenger. This is how new builders will learn super fast about Solana Ecosystem. We expected to keep this challenge going in the next month through our various University Tour efforts.

Build Stations - March we saw an expansion of 2 days of Build Stations on Wednesdays and Saturdays in the final weeks before Grizzlython submissions.

We had 4 UniTours in March with International University, FPT Quy Nhon, Bach Khoa Da Nang (Da Nang University of Technology) and VNUK with 210 students participating.

Hacker House HCM Moments
Solana Hacker House HCM was a massive success for many different reasons. 800 total attendees with an average of 300 visitors per day for 5 days, plus a whole host of side events. Here are some of the other highlights and our learnings from this.

Solana and Superteam Dinners - we held a series of partners, business development, and investor dinners during the course of Hacker House. It was a great opportunity to introduce the fintech, investor community, Fortune 100 companies to learn about Solana. With the help of the top tier folks at Solana Foundation and Superteam Vietnam, we made an amazing impression on the larger community and are still booking follow up meetings from those dinners.

Student Dinner - over 85 students throughout Vietnam participated in our student dinner. These are the developers that will be building the next generation of Solana web3 companies in Vietnam.
VC Pitch Day Investor Day - by all accounts this was one of the highlights of Hacker House according to participants. The purpose of Superteam is to help the best developers build on the Solana ecosystem, but at some point we need to help get those companies financing. Most of these VCs are global and are looking projects throughout our ecosystem. Superteam Vietnam is going to help create a shared database on come up with some ideas on how we can leverage our VC network alongside other Superteam chapters to help put our best projects in front of people who can write checks.
Grizzlython Winners - Announcement coming ~ April 14th
Grizzlython was an amazing global event for Solana with over 800 entries globally and 73 coming from Vietnam. This was by far the largest hackathon in Solana’s history. We’re excited for all the participants, but hopefully Vietnam will grab a few gold medals in the upcoming weeks. Check in at Solana’s Twitter for updates.
