I’m Hieu, the new lead of Superteam Vietnam.
For those who’ve been around, I’ve been part of Superteam since the beginning, working across various Superteams as a Developer Relations lead. But this role? It’s new to me.
Over the past two years, this newsletter has been a formal recap—a polished, bilingual summary of what we’ve accomplished each month. Professionally written, neatly packaged, and wrapped with a bow.
That’s about to change.
I’m hijacking this newsletter. It’ll be English-only, raw, and unfiltered—sharing not just our wins, but our failures and future plans. No guarantees on perfect prose, but I promise you originality and audacity.

Jito, TheGrid hackathon was a blast with 2 workshops and 1 pitching session, all streaming on X. 10,000 views in total and 12 team joining the pitching session. Wishing them all the best for the final battle on 12 Feb. Best get away from the hackathon is list of ideas to build.
Various bounties are starting on Jan 2025, all on Earn platform.

Wins & What Needs Work
✅ Founders from Superteam Vietnam are killing it—launching tokens, securing airdrops. Members are eating well.
❌ But where are the original technical innovations?
We have an insanely talented dev community, yet I don’t see groundbreaking engineering initiatives. Solana is about shipping technical innovation or dying trying. The AI hype is great, but let’s be real—so far, it’s mostly technical wrappers with attention hooks.
Blockchain is about building a 1000x better cloud computing network than Web2. Increase Bandwidth. Reduce Latency. Everything else is just icing on the cake.
What’s Next?
