State of Superteam Vietnam: August 2023
Superteam Vietnam is a community of builders and creative artists in Vietnam and all over the world. We currently have 129 members including devs, designers, artists, marketers, gamers, VCs, and many more.
Highlights for the month of August:
Getting ramped up for future Global Hackathon with 14 events including 2 hackathons and 2 Supermeets
GDP growth: $57,400 was added this month through grants & hackathon winners
Vietnam Creator DAO is incubating CareerLab and aided Solis for OPOS
Assisted 10 teams to submit to OPOS
Expanded 2 Superteam Pop-Up communities in Thailand and Malaysia

Solana Consumer Hack Series
We’ve created a series of mini-hackathons with Solana ecosystem partner companies called Solana Consumer Hack Series. If you have a thriving developer community that can or wants to build on Solana and want to throw a hackathon with us, apply for a grant to work with us today here.

Solang Workshop
30 EVM developers and builders joined thkshop and discussed how to use Solang and what needs to be added to Solang's next version.

Vietnam Creator DAO
In the third month of operation, Vietnam Creator DAO (VCD) is witnessing a bearish NFT market where trading volumes are drying up everywhere. There were days in August when the floor-based market cap of the whole NFT space fell below $15B. For Solana NFT, the fact that daily NFT trading volumes made new lows of less than $500K is now a norm.
VCD is working with CareerLab NFT, the collection created by CareerLab, a community of over 1600 active students in Vietnam focusing on career orientation. 220 items representing membership rights in Career Lab community and bringing benefits, namely accessing to skill-training courses or receiving advice from industry experts, to the item holders, are planned to be launched in late Q3 this year.
What’s more in August? The aim for the creation of VCD is to not just nurture the ecosystem of Solana-powered NFT projects in Vietnam but also support other passionate DAO Founders in South East Asia to start similar initiatives in their local countries. Last month, we started to work with some NFT influencers from Indonesia and The Philippines, etc. with the target of founding Creator DAOs powered by Solana.
VCD ended their August with the partnership co-announced with Zoodio, an art studio that will support projects in VCD’s incubation hub in terms of art.

What is Superteam?
Superteam is a network of operators, devs & grantees working on promising Solana projects.
Simply put, it is a gated Discord server for those who satisfy the membership criteria. There’s no treasury, take-rate/commissions, or token sale. From its inception, Superteam has chosen to be a collective of sovereigns over a sovereign collective. All members may participate as much or as little as they wish, including the core team. Any revenue generated is captured by the individual members or teams that self-organize and win a bounty, secure a grant or venture funding for their ideas. The community is the product. And members have exclusive access to the product.
